Here is an Islamic superpower: prayers. In Islam, there is a substantial aspect related to duʿāʾ (supplication or verbal prayers). This is different from the five daily obligatory prayers. I am speaking about verbal prayers that anyone can perform at any time.

Qur’anic Emphasis on Supplication

There is a Qur’anic verse that describes how responsive Allah is to the prayers of anyone—even non-Muslims. Verbal prayers are an outlet for difficulties and concerns a person may face. They provide relief from life’s tensions and dilemmas and serve as a direct consultation with Allah, asking for guidance and protection.

Solace in Prayer

Being consoled and granted solace from Allah is itself a blessing to be grateful for. Prayers can be made in any dialect or language. They can be private or public, whispered or spoken. There is no requirement for anyone else to be aware of your prayers—they remain a private conversation with Allah.

The Impact of Verbal Prayers

According to Islamic belief, verbal prayers can even change destiny. No one should underestimate their significance. The fact that such prayers are believed to be open to non-Muslims as well highlights how responsive Allah is to anyone who sincerely calls upon Him.

Prayer and Righteous Deeds

Supplicating to Allah should not be confused with neglecting righteous actions. Prayers are meant as a source of relief and a channel for feelings of anxiety after one has already striven to do what is right.

Allah’s Ever-Present Listening

Allah is always there to listen to your call—anywhere, anytime—regardless of human classifications or worldly divisions. He hears your prayers and watches your deeds, beyond human fabrications and social distortions.
