The Fetra Fascination _ {Reflections Redeemed}
The Wonder of Childhood Development
There is something inspiring about watching a child take steps in life. For example, seeing a child sit, then crawl, and eventually walk is breathtaking. Hearing a child make sounds, mumbling and then progress to saying words and sentences is astounding.
The Question of Motivation
This raises the question: what is the motive? Where does the child learn this? Who makes him move or take these initial steps toward becoming a normal human being able to walk, talk, and develop physiologically?
The Concept of Fetra
I could not find a direct answer, but in Islam this is referred to as Fetra, which can be translated as innate instinct. It is something from within—without instruction, any child will have the natural urge to take these steps. Perhaps reconnecting to the inner child is to reconnect with the forgotten Fetra.
Nature’s Order vs. Human Intervention
Fetra or innate instinct is the natural response to life without intrusive intervention from outside or from human manipulation. When outer interventions occur, other abnormal responses may emerge. Otherwise, everything seems to fall into place when nature and Fetra guide the process.
Even for other creatures or events in life, everything appears to align with the greater masterplan. Chaos, more often than not, is associated with human interference and nothing else.
